Sprite Fright's Writer and Director's Storytelling Advice

In an interview with Christian Bunyan over at the Blender Cloud Blog, Sprite Fright's director and industry veteran Matthew Luhn goes into his storytelling techniques and gives tips for visual comedy.

Matthew deconstructs his storytelling approach into an interesting "chemical" paradigm, where he positions the storyteller as an alchemist of sorts attempting to craft emotions within the audience by controlling the sequence of the release of "Story" chemicals within them, namely dopamine, oxytocin, cortisol, and endorphins.
