Character animation using NLA

lately, I spent some time figuring out good workflows for the NLA Editor in Blender.
Nonlinear Animation is a powerful tool for combining and blending separate Blender actions into a single animation. It can help you work faster, iterate over and experiment with your character movements.

However, as with any powerful tool, there is a bit of a learning curve to it. I hope the following two videos will help you ease into this topic. The second video is certainly more fun but it's important to understand a few key concepts before you can dive into the fun stuff. So I recommend starting with the Intro video.
