Hi fellow tree lovers!
Today is the perfect day to reveal a new release of The Grove – the big number 10! It’s been seven years since I started this 3D tree simulation project, and now The Grove is ready for the biggest release ever. It’s jam-packed with fresh features, that together lift the simulation to a whole new level. This brings us even closer to nature. Add to that a shiny new interface, waiting for you to take for a spin.
Come see all the fresh new features.
To celebrate the big number 10, there's a 20% discount that ends April 20!

This is my favorite addon had it for several years! The new update is massive!
Thanks, I'm pleased to hear you like it!
Can the grove do palm trees and banana trees?
The Grove's focus is on trees with multiple branches. Palm trees and banana's can be better modeled by hand in my opinion, just like I create the twigs by hand. I do plan on creating more tropical trees though.
@ YOUNG_VOTER:
The weblink is in the forking text, you silly donut!
Now go and look for yourself.
I can't understand: where are twig presets from The Grove 9 (such as Scots Pine)? I tried to import the preset from the previous version, but the scots pine looks very different.
Hi MAPPER720,
The changes to the growth algorithm were so fundamental that I had to completely redo most presets. Especially the new secondary growth and reaction wood has really made a big impact. Almost all presets are much more realistic now. But I guess I missed the Scots Pine! I'll get to work on that!
Are you sure the Paper Birch became better?

The Paper Birch preset in release 10 is indeed better. The old release 9 Birch preset was a more like a Silver Birch, and you can find a new preset for that in release 10.
The Oak preset in release 10 is so much better indeed. I think why you dislike it, is because of the Prune Low, which is set quite low int he new preset. That gives the beautiful look of a solitary old oak tree. If you're aiming for a more regular forest or street side oak tree, try setting Pune Low to 5 meters or do some manual pruning.

Looks amazing! I can't wait to try it out!
