Sakura, canola flower and Enoden / 3D modeling

1

Sachiko15 shared the creation of this amazing scene on YouTube today.

It's spring, so Enoden has become a cherry blossom viewing train 🌸
I make parts for cherry blossoms and canola flower, and use hair to make them bloom on the branches and stems.

The general flow of production is to decide the composition etc. in blender, make it-install the parts, and render. Write a line art in freestyle only for the Enoden part. After that, I draw with Photoshop and clip studio using rendered images and freestyle line art.

World settings use atmospheric textures to create colors and sunlight.
I was very worried about the composition and color. Also, I tried various things such as depth of field, out-of-focus with composite, and what kind of picture to make, and the result was such an image. I was worried about how realistic the plants would be, but I didn't think I would see them so close, so it seems that the materials are almost colored. I used too much hair and the movement became heavy, so I could only shoot about 9 hours of video during the 12 hours of production time.

I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). I founded BlenderNation in 2006 and have been editing it every single day since then ;-) I also run the Blender Artists forum and I'm Head of Community at Sketchfab.
