Twitter user Todor has posted a comprehensive introductory tutorial on his youtube channel CGDive aiming to demystify the once seemingly unattainable NLA editor.
"Un-confusing the NLA" in #b3d. That's my goal with this new video.
I expected to cover it quickly & easily but man there is a lot to talk about.
There will be one more NLA vid for sure (preview in the tweet below)?https://t.co/O3MRHJe6Cq#rigging #3Danimation pic.twitter.com/9MI5Hdc21Q

The NLA editor allows for non-destructive animation and is a very powerful tool in the animator's arsenal, check out the video below:
He also gave a preview of the upcoming second part of his dive into the NLA editor:
I think the Twitter compression is annihilating the preview lol pic.twitter.com/riN9Uc7yBz

Todor is wonderful. His rigify tutorials are the best since Dan Pie's! These indepth tutorials are badly needed because like much Blender the rigify documentation is sparse and the 5 minutes tutorials on Youtube are too superficial to help anyone except the newest noob.
And then what?
And now Todor turns his attention to NLA? Hurrah! I'd nominate the NLA for having the worst interface in all of Blender. We need this! Thank you Todor!
Thank you for the good words, Ceetab! To be honest I was super insecure when I started out precisely because of all of the 1-minute tutorials that were getting a lot of attention. But now I see that ppl appreciate the in-depth stuff so I feel more comfortable doing more of that.
Who is Dan Pie by the way? Dan Pro maybe?
Thanks, Mario for posting this. One more chapter coming very soon :]
