Insight into Sprite Fright's Hybrid Rigging

0

Christian Bunyan has posted a article on the Blender Cloud blog where he chats with Sprite Fright's rigger Demeter Dzadik, giving us a behind the scenes glimpse on his rigging process for such a big project.

In this post, Demeter reveals that he is using CloudRig, an extension of the Rigify rig, while adapting to his very own procedural approach. He goes on to show use-cases where procedurality is useful (such as the character's limbs, which work identically for all of them), while at the same time highlighting others where a solid hand-crafter approach is key (like the faces, which are unique to each characer), giving birth to the Hybrid rigging workflow.
