Reel: Lawrence M Pompey

2

Lawrence M Pompey writes:

Since beginning in 3D Animation with Blender in December, I’ve absolutely fallen in love with the software and the community in general. I’ve decided to be more forward in putting myself out there as a newcomer. This new Showreel is a big step for me, and I’m both nervous and excited to share it with you all.

This video represents some of my best work since beginning 3D Animation & Visualization at the end of 2019. It highlights some of my skills as a self-taught creative with the hopes of inspiring others of the software's capabilities no matter the prior experience level. More information about each individual project within this video can be found throughout my Portfolio's Project Breakdowns (https://lpompey.myportfolio.com). Enjoy!

  1. Only 4 months of experience with Blender and 3D and you made all this allready ????
Oh man!!! :-D I'm deeply impressed! I'm really jealous of your speed!

Then you have absolutely the right talents for this, especially for animation, sound, lighting, mood, ...

And you don't suffer from modesty either :-)

I wish you good luck on your further 3D path.

    • Thank you so much, I really appreciate that feedback. I'm working as hard as possible, especially during this quarantine (NJ, USA) so that I can create high-quality work. My dream is to work on Films and Video Game Cinematics, and Blender has opened all types of doors for us to be able to achieve such things, no matter the experience-level.

It's also worth mentioning that I didn't do this alone. Amazing, free tutorials and resources from numerous artists helped me work towards this milestone. Such assets as the Corvette and the Rolex for the product animations were modeled by other artists. All of their individual information and links are credited on their corresponding project pages of my Portfolio, here: https://lpompey.myportfolio.com/.

Thank you again, and I wish you the best of luck in your learning/projects as well. Maybe one day we'll wind up collaborating on something!
