You can save some time in this process and select all the curves in your 3d view and then proceed with the transform curve to mesh action. I'd also re-topologize more complex logos when they are flat before extruding as their topology can become quite messy and make it hard to work with.

Agreed. The triangles created by the default transformation of curve to mesh need to be worked on before bevels, for example, can be applied cleanly.
