Hey everyone, I would like to share the 1st video in a series I will be making on Octane for Blender 2.8. I use Octane almost daily in another software, but I have been testing scenes in this Blender version for a while now. I am excited to share what I have learned, and hope to help anyone struggling learning the new awesome FREE render engine.

I will be covering some of the most common issues people are having in the viewport and rendering. Then we will go over the basic material creation and HDRI set up. Plus some of my favorite features. This is just the tip of the iceberg. Soon we will go over full scene creation from scratch.

I hope you all can enjoy, learn and follow along with me as I go deep into Octane for Blender 2.8. Thank you!

I started using 3d applications about 5 years ago, and I have been hooked since. I started out learning Cinema 4d, but after discovering Blender, I just couldn't stop using it. I hope I can teach others some of the cool things that I have picked up over the years.

  1. Hi there, I could really use some help.

I have been trying to render out Deep Exr files from Blender using Octane, however whenever I import these into NukeX with a DeepRead node the viewer just shows a black.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.
