The Eye Color Change Node (VFX)

In this video we will be looking at how we can speed up our workflow with the help of the Eye Color Change Node.

We first need to create a couple of masks. One to define the area where your actor(s) eyes are. Another mask for the Eyelids (though some shots you won't need this), and finally a garbage mask for the reflections.

With the Eye Color Change Node, we can not only change the color of the eyes but we can also control the brightness. Adding a little brightness to the "Whites" is a nice touch and highlights the overall effect (just don't use too much brightness, otherwise your actor(s) eyes begin to look almost cartoon-ish).

You can follow along with this video and create your own Eye Color Change or you can download the one we created. To download, be sure to check the blog post.

I hope you guys find this tutorial helpful and as always,

thanks for watching!.
