In version 2.0, videos can now be analyzed! That's right: you pick a frame range and step, and it'll calculate the color range of your video. As a VFX artist myself, it's a dream come true. Along with this new feature, I also made some optimizations and redid the UI for a sleeker look in 2.8.

The link is broken because the name of the addon has changed (and Blendernation hasn't posted about it yet): https://blendermarket.com/products/shot-matcher
The addon is now called "Shot Matcher" to reflect industry terms (shot matching is used by colorists to define color grading to give multiple shots consistent color range.
