When Sean Kennedy needed a tearing cloth simulation, he turned to Twitter to get some help. And he quickly got it.
This week I ran into something I couldn't solve quickly, so I reached out to the Blender community for some help, and wow, did they deliver! After @Syziph shared his solution, I made a short tutorial showing what he came up with, a quick and easy cheat for stretching and tearing cloth in Blender. Hope you like it!

I remember seeing an add-on specifically made for tearing fabric, whatever happened to that?
You're probably talking about ClothFX. I mention it in the blog post and provide some links. :)
Always achieving great things Sean, keep it up dude!!
Thanks, but all I did here was share the technique. All credit goes to Syziph!
