Climbing on a roof to scan roof tiles? Sebastian Zapata did just that to gather material for his upcoming textures site Friendly Shade, which is scheduled to launch in the next few months.
Hey guys! This is a set of maps of a roofing surface made for Friendly Shade. I literally climbed in order to get this one scanned about 7 months ago. The texture height map had so much level of detail that I was having this stepped/jaggy issue at 16-bit so I had to save the color depth at 32-bit. Enjoy the previews.

I talked to Sebastian last night and he confirmed that he is currently preparing the launch of his textures site. I'll update the article to reflect that.
Sorry ROMBOUT, the site is indeed working but due the traffic it's been frozen from time to time : https://www.friendlyshade.com/
Right now there's a subscription form if you want to get notified.
Thanks for your patience.
Always complaining, pfff (I'm jocking Rom ;)

The zoom in on the brick road, that is a render right? I would put something like "Render" under it, at first I thought it was a photo, looks so realistic!
