Legit, curious to know how scaling those spheres changes the colors.
Steve has a tutorial in which I guess he explains this. But it’s more than one hour of tutorial! I really prefer buy the package.

but is there a version available that contains the trees in different forked roots and different tree ages

i think the eye will catch that the trees are not real in an animation, because the trees have the same fork setup, when you make a forest with always the same tree, even when the trees are rotated and rigged in different ways.
If you make copies and adjust the rigs it will create the illusion of different trees with random scale, rotate applied as well. I have done the same with just two versions of the same tree and using random scale and rotate. You can always delete some of the branches probably or add new ones to the existing model.
This is great, will be making good use of these tree assets.
