Season's Greetings from Dassault Systèmes

Dassault built an interactive Christmas card with Blend4web

Blend4Web Team writes:

It seems wishing everybody a Merry Christmas with an interactive greeting card is becoming widespread. Dassault Group, a French company known for its Falcon, Mirage and Rafale aircrafts as well as the CAD software SolidWorks and CATIA, has decided to greet its customers with the upcoming holidays in a high-tech way.

Interestingly, amazing animation and audio effects complementing this spectacle were done in Blender and rendered online with Blend4Web.

Enjoy!

That's hilarious, when only a few days ago I was helping a colleague try to get a decent render out of his multi-thousand-dollar Dassault SolidWorks installation! It took ages, he had very little control over the settings, and it didn't look anywhere near as good as my Cycles renders of the same product :)

    • I worked with Solidworks for a few years and you're right. But that's not the point of this kind of software. Solidworks is for industrial production and the render and animation engines are only a little extra so you can show your project to a client without hassle.
Blender is a animation suite and for that reason is much better to render and animate.
