This is quite wonderful - an animation designed in Blender, but executed in... paper!

Hello! I, Nikolai Popov, I present to you our commercial project, we would like to capture in principle, even though our customer wanted a rendering low poly 3d animation. They still think it's a 3D render. In fact, we used the addon "Export Paper Model", to glue paper of this whole scene piece by piece, to capture and compositing all the layers together.
Our thanks to the creator Adam Dominec addon for his work!

superb....what is the song playing in the background movie...i love it...
That is so cool! Thanks. I love that Export Paper Model add on and the way you used it was very creative.
Oh, this is pretty amazing! I did have to watch the video a few times though to figure out if it was actual paper or just rendered. The thing is, cycles is so good now, I don't know if anyone would notice that it isn't rendered without the behind the scenes video. Especially when it was mainly shot green screen and animated and composited in a computer. So it kinda makes it hard to tell how it was created. I like it, just think it could have been done in cycles and looked similar.
I need to look into the paper exporter though. Do you reckon you could use it to design popup cards?
That's pretty incredible. I just assumed that half of the stuff was 3D and only some of it actual paper, but looking at the backstage video I was blown away. You guys should get an award for this.
