Jan-Eric Winkelmann from Blenderclub.de tells us how he created this scene.
Blenderclub writes:
The last days, I played a little bit with Blenders particle-system, cycles and a lot of other cool features. This image is the result of my work. Hope you like it! :)
The trees are created with Arbaro, a free java-based tree-generator. After playing a while with the program I was quite pleased with the result. You can check out the program under http://arbaro.sourceforge.net, if you are interested in. ;)
The landscape was built with the „ANT Landscape“-Addon in Blender. To give the image this winter-look I used a noise-texture in material-nodes on the ground with some turbulence in it. This textures controls the displacement and also the color of the ground. The leaves on the trees only using a blank white material with a little bluish touch to archive this frosty look.
So now it’s time to try it out yourself! Happy blendering! :)
