The BBC series Doctor Who is celebrating its 50th birthday this week! A great moment to share Enigmatoots' Tardis tutorials.

Modeling

In this video I show how to model the Tardis in Blender using a few modelling methods. It's a nice simple modeling video but if you just want to follow the materials video after this or would like to see the final thing, download it here. The reference image I used is here.

Materials

This is the second video on how to make the Tardis, and in this one I go over the materials and UV unwrapping needed for it.
If you want the finished model you can find it here. Wood texture can be found here.

Signs found here and here.

Animating

This third video is about animating the Tardis. Sepcifically the movement and the fading away effect with the lights blinking. Enjoy :)

I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). I founded BlenderNation in 2006 and have been editing it every single day since then ;-) I also run the Blender Artists forum and I'm Head of Community at Sketchfab.
