Studio Insizium from Portugal present a 65-episode series for kids.

Amadeu Silva writes:

The Portuguese company Insizium, SA produced a 65 episode series named Visiokids, using Blender software. Insizium team used Blender for 3D stereo animation, modelling and rendering. Focused on children 6 up to 10 years old, the series has been designed to divulge science in a fun and informal manner. The series is broadcasting on channel 2 of the Portuguese national TV (RTP 2).

Meanwhile Jorge Ribeiro, leader team at Insizium, was a speaker at the Blender Conference 2013, held at Amsterdam.
To complement the Visiokids learning experience, Insizium also produced interactive applications in 3D stereo for all the characters, which are available in the Interactive Virtual Reality equipment installed in Insizium’s Science Centre called Visionarium, near the city of Porto, Portugal. Each one of the five personalities – Atómico, Bit, Cassiopeia, Cósmico and Vita – is a specialist in one of the areas of knowledge.

I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). I founded BlenderNation in 2006 and have been editing it every single day since then ;-) I also run the Blender Artists forum and I'm Head of Community at Sketchfab.

  2. Love when Blender gets used like this as it brings in a lot of prestige if done right. This is definitely one of those cases.
