This is really cool. Very good, and nicely rendered. I don't know all the rules to the contest, but as far as a short video I would have liked to see a little movement/animation in this; even if is was slight and subtle. Maybe the effect of wind on grass and threads, or maybe the roach move oh so slightly. Besides that, it looks really nice.
I guess that would've been better, I believe. However, I didn't have the luxury of render power and time. But that doesn't stop me from doing it still though. ;)
