Curious about this year's Blender Conference? The BF has just announced the speakers line-up (AND gives a sneak peek at the new Blender.org site design ;-).

I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). I founded BlenderNation in 2006 and have been editing it every single day since then ;-) I also run the Blender Artists forum and I'm Head of Community at Sketchfab.

Darn, I like the Black theme for Blender.org. Looks like they are moving away from that.
agreed, i liked how it used a similar color palette as the default UI theme!
This is too much of a change I think.
I'd like most talks to be broadcast on YouTube....
The new Website looks very nice! I'm curious about whether or not the website will have a more feature filled Home page. Would it be possible to have Blendernation feed in some sort of dynamic display? Like a box with updating images/videos with each day's new items? It might make the home page a little bit more interesting to newcomers.
I know the link isn't exactly how the site will look, but it's just an idea. It looks excellent so far!
From what I've heard so far, they will remove BlenderNation news from the homepage :(
That would be a pity. BlenderNation always brings interesting posts, and makes the blender.org website fresh and dynamic for newcomers, with a whole range of news, articles, tools and tutorials.
To me BlenderNation is the main entry point to the Blender community for new people.
I agree :) I'm sad to see my news leave the front page.
