Good work man. Any description of the scene would be appreciated. Cycles or internal?
Octane
Awesome work indeed! ...But what's real and what isn't!?
wohaa ! very nice
If I remember correctly, only the sky is a picture and it was rendered in octane.
It's a really great piece of work, as all Anuraag works I have seen.
Thank you everyone, and Bart - feels great to be featured here.
To corroborate - it's all done in 3D with a 360 degree skymap. As Utopia correctly mentions, it's rendered with Octane 2.56d and the final result is a mix of two renders - one with physical Sun+Sky and another with the sky texture. Color grading and radial blur on wheels done in Photoshop.
To say more about the image - it tries to capture the similarities and differences between the two 'trips' hinted at in the picture. An old hatchback for a weekend getaway or a shuttle to the outer space - are they very different? Or actually alike?
Feel free to appreciate or criticize.
Thanks once again.

@Anuraag A truly great job. The image is absolutely superb, but I also like the connection between the two trips depicted in the image. I wonder how much of Photoshop retouching was made to the image. Would it be possible to see the image before-after the Photoshop stage?
I really like this render, especially the good lighting.
Looks absolutely beautiful. Love the metaphor, the colors used and the amount of detail.
Although I couldn't pull this off myself, a small thing that I noticed was the modelling of the top of the main fuel (orange) tank of the shuttle. Seems to not be subdivided enough... or is that the way the actual thing is made?
It is built that way, but the ridges are smaller and that tank is not supposed to be shiny.
so sad that instagram took the impact off that vintage look by overusing it.
Instagram doesn't even make images look vintage; just stupid.
So there are good reasons why I don't use social networks. (other than this and BlenderArtists)
Great image, but small critique: The primary rocket on the space shuttle isn't shiny. It's more of a muted orange (think rust).Check out this reference image:

i was taking care of that all this while, but completely missed that out at the time of the final render :(
keep it up man ... glad to see some good quality stuff from india ....
thanks...saw your work for the the Blender Guru contests...great stuff
That is very pretty , I like it a lot .
once the shuttle launches its going to blow up the building
it's not supposed to be the launch pad - maybe an alternate vehicle assembly building, or just a museum - i wasn't going as much for accuracy as for the mood/ambiance
