I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). Wow, mad skills here! Great work! But now I'm afraid to go outside. Could be giant alien spacecraft ready to land on my head. And that just wouldn't do. They'd mess up my hair.
Nice work. One thing I would make sure is that any light that is supposed to be behind the ship should not show up in front. That seems to be the case on the bottom-most ship. You can see some of the red light from the earth shinning past the ship, thus obstructing the view of the ship and making it look as though the light source is in the foreground rather than the ship. Or maybe it's just me :D

We do not judge an artist on his level of English. English is just a lang imposed, nothing to do with art.

Blender internal is really a good tool, as long as you don't go into making something extremely raytrace type.
