I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). I founded BlenderNation in 2006 and have been editing it every single day since then ;-) I also run the Blender Artists forum and I'm Head of Community at Sketchfab.
Very well done. Nice models!
Very nice work, love the old man's face super realistic!
Awful - the guy drops both his guard hands when doing those kicks! If the other guy has a knife, he's DONE.
Other than that, and the ortho (or almost) shot of the desk with the 1-dimensional reflections, not much to complain about.
I'm way jealous of the skin, though I'm doing BGE so it has to be realtime for mine. Love the fish-demon-thing, and the characters in general.
Yes, you right... But he's alone in the scene :)
Thanks for watching.
Good work manu!
thanks buddy !
Great demoreel! Great soundtrack - what's the name of this song? Fantastic trip hop tune!
Thank you and thank for Aphilas... I agree with you, this soundtrack is great.
Well done! Cheers!
Good reel, but It's too long in my opinion. maybe you should make a separate animation reel (I think your modelling and rendering skills are much stronger then your animation)
Also i think you could take out some modeling stuff (or show them shorter time) and just leave the stuff that really makes it wow.
Usually also people leave the best stuff for the first and last clip.
I think your best is the bold guy, I also really like how it fits with music (the layers). Is it also your design?
good choice of music for a show reel, but like i said, I think it's too long...
Thank you snot_nose.
All are my design.
Maybe I'll make separate reel for next video
Really enjoyed the video - Some really great character, and i thought the animations were pretty impressive from my semi-noob eyes. Much better work I can pull off currently. Thanks for sharing and the inspiration! itching to get back on my projects! oh, and i agree about the music, good choice there too!
Awesome work, this stuff looks great
Awesome! Cool sync especially.
Nice Spider Jerusalem!
Hé Hé... best comic book ever ! Thank you.
Spider Jerusalem the best !
Absolutely right... We need a guy like him on Wall Street ;)
Thank you all ! and thanks to Bart for sharing my Showreel.
As many of you love the soundtrack... the compositor is named Aphilas a,d the song "Lifelong fiction". It's a free royal-tee music.
For people who are anti-youtbe, you can watch the video on Vimeo too :
mdr l'empereur, m'rappelle quelqu'un. Excellent travail.
Toute ressemblance avec une personne existante ne serait que pure coïncidence.
Awesome thr french President. Well done!
ah ah... our little funny man
Good Demo reel, I love most of your work, especially modeling and renders. Great cosmetic line, jewelry, and my favorite: the creatures, awesome designs textures and render ! Love that watch too !
My only crit that turn me down a bit was the animation part, no bad but it looks too noob for what you showed before. You picked rigs very simple and widely used mostly for beginners on youtube, the animated actions are very simple, walkcycle ( which skips a bit), and most of the actions are a bit jerky, so why don't you incorporate your own outstanding models line into your own animation reel? That's what audience expect at the end !
Great Work !
Thank you for critics.
Yes you're right about animations. At first time, it was not expected that its be integrated into the showreel. But during the work in progress of the video, some people suggested me to add them and I think they are right for finding a job. In the future, I'll probably animated my others characters designs...
this is some very amazing and inspirational stuff
Thank you !
