Boston Blender Users Group - Sept 22

1

Blender users in Boston, USA, are meeting up this Thursday.

From the announcement:

We'll have 2 workshops on the big screen and the newbie table in the back. People are encouraged to show us some of their great work or talk about things they are excited about! We recommend to bring a laptop with a 3 button mouse if you want to follow the hands-on workshops.

  • Costas will bring some more post-processing and compositing goodness, or if people prefer, go over bsurfaces and retopology - about 30-45 mins.
  • Ron will introduce you to Blender's Game Engine - about 30-45 mins.
  • Engel will help the n00bs with your choice of basic modeling, rigging, UV mapping and painting or animation. The newbie table will start early and will run in the back at the same time as the main workshops.

We'll have a 15 min discussion on the content and format of future meetings and Blender challenges. Please participate to help us adapt the group to your needs. And of course there will be pizza and beers!

I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). I founded BlenderNation in 2006 and have been editing it every single day since then ;-) I also run the Blender Artists forum and I'm Head of Community at Sketchfab.
