I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). I founded BlenderNation in 2006 and have been editing it every single day since then ;-) I also run the Blender Artists forum and I'm Head of Community at Sketchfab.

This is awesome , I know there are very strong artists out there , who will simply claim the first page / splash screen . I would like to and easy add on where we can put our art work right there on splash :)
thank you .
For a moment I thought it was a splash in the ocean, complete with foam ... something I've found very difficult to simulate.
Hmm, I think I like this one the most:

Though, he has some alpha transparency going on with the (supposedly) black background. Shouldn't be too hard to fix, though!
So many people commented that the last one for 2.57 was ugly. Here's a chance for all you critics to show us all what you got.
And again I hope for some people out of the German community with an article at the blenderzin:

Thanks!
Who says it has to have only one splash screen?
why not have it cycle between many??
