Blender UserDay 2010 in Graz, Austria

7

A free Blender event in Graz Austria on the 20th of March with workshops and a party!

Dorian Santner writes:

I am very happy to present this years blender event in the media art lab “MedienKunstLabor” in Graz, Austria. We set up an all-day-event for blender newbies and pros in the environment of our "friendly alien", the modern art museum "Kunsthaus Graz" in Austria's second biggest city.

Lets build skills, spread the tools and have a nice blender day!

On Saturday, 20th March, two Blender workshops are available and a great networking opportunity:

  • Blender Crash Course : Beginners workshop with 3D professional Helge Maus (www.pixeltrain.de).
  • Blender Compositing: Advanced workshop with special guest and featured artist Soenke Maeter (www.visual-noise.org) from the Durian Project
  • Round Table "Blender in production" : Meet the blender heads & learn to know some of the austrian blender users

and of course a great party afterward!

The workshops are free to access, see more info on www.blenderusers.at or simply get the Flyer.

hoping to see you soon,
Dorian Santner

I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). I founded BlenderNation in 2006 and have been editing it every single day since then ;-) I also run the Blender Artists forum and I'm Head of Community at Sketchfab.

  1. Hi,

Sadly I cannont join the event, but I would appreciate it, when the lessons could be recorded and put under creative commons license.

    Probably download it somewhere ?

    Well just thinking ;)

    Cheers from Villach

  2. I hate that... I mean I'm happy for the people in Austria, but that kind of opportunities doesn't show up here in Costa Rica, all i know is thanks to the Blender heads that bring tutorials, e-books and to my own (trial and error).

  3. @Koxi: We will record the session

@panzi: Come on, 2 hours by car is not that far! And we already have some people comming from vienna, if you want we can connect you.
