We have just finished a music video for the band "Jack Daw". They are the winners of a music contest called "Moviet" All the close-ups on the birds are made completely in Blender, and some of the "bird crowds" are made with Blender, others in Adobe AfterEffects. The video have been awarded for "Best Music Video 2009" in "TellUs Movie Festival"

The clip looks good over all. Is it just me or it could simply be the fact I was looking for it but the birds seem a bit stiff and unreal. I tend to think if they were stylized a bit more that may have helped. I also noticed what looks like some compositing errors in the flock sequences. Maybe I am just being picky. Nice product in the end though.
Bird animation could have had some extra time I suspect, but a worthy win indeed. Well done folks!
What a terrible and boring song...
Txrt, you know kill you darlings. Kant haw them in phocus to mutch, them they Will look crappy:P
Guy incognito, of course your right. Butt ass always theres deadlines to follow.
The birds in the cage were spot on! I had to read the description again to make sure they were CG.
The flock...well. A year ago it would have been pretty swell, but the Blender bar has been raised so high lately.
The song was painful. =[
"Butt ass always theres deadlines to follow." << can I put this on a t-shirt?
Rev. Stump: putt that on a tshirt! Do it now and post one to me! :D
We're all deadline junkies here, chasing the next one ;)
I'm deliberately not commenting on the song as peoples musical tastes vary greatly and we are here for the CG not the music are we not?
I say again nice product over all.
@Guy incognito: and I thought *I* was a stiff. =[
Good close-ups on the birds. The shots of the birds flying around in the room was bad, but you had a good actor and neat lighting in the hall. :) Cheers
Awesome song! Awesome video!
