Blender Game Engine course in Belfast, 13-17 July

5

trans-belfast-logoMal Duffin from CanDo 3D will be giving a one week course in both the basics of Blender, and using the Blender Game Engine.

Assuming no previous knowledge, by the end of the course all of the basics of the game engine ( and basic modelling ) will be covered. Participants will be able to put together a simple game template of their own by the end of the week, after creating a number of simple game templates during the week.

The course lasts a full 5 days, and costs £60. This is the 4th year the course has been running.

I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). I founded BlenderNation in 2006 and have been editing it every single day since then ;-) I also run the Blender Artists forum and I'm Head of Community at Sketchfab.

  1. It appears that this course is sold out. I would love to join, but a later date would be more convenient. Will there be more of these courses offered this year?

  2. I give the course only once a year - with Blender gaining popularity, I'm sure there'll be scope for more courses etc given by someone else based in Northern Ireland though.
