I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). I founded BlenderNation in 2006 and have been editing it every single day since then ;-) I also run the Blender Artists forum and I'm Head of Community at Sketchfab.

  1. Congrats Jesterking!

Most of all thank you for bringing one cute tiny JesterPrince into this wonderful world of true altruism.

  2. For some reason I always thought jesterking was the Nathan that did the rigging for BBB :D
The Nathan right up above in the related posts "The happy Blender Institute tour"
That guy is pretty funny :D

  3. I think it will be good to interview a Blender Artist next time.
Maybe Andy Goralczyk can do it.

I love the top blue light.

  4. great interview too, im looking forward to intergrated multi user functionality in blender and it might be a good ideer to add a 3d webbrowser function too, not have all data centraly but more like how the web is organised. What you said about having other programs interact directly with blender data sounds great too, swapping data between programs is always a big time waster so the more uniform the data format the better.
thx for all the good work you put into developing Blender.

  5. I was thinking about that program intergratability of blender and thought how cool it would be to be able to cut and paste tools from other opensource programs as you need them. Maybe a genious like you is able to code a standard for that ;)

  6. WOW! that sounds really cool! On-line Collaboration!!

I especially like the thought of other applications accessing the Blender Database!

Imagine how fast it would be for a whole team of people working in such a manor!! Very cool!
