Mike Pan has published a nice series of photos of the Blender workshop in Vancouver, BC, last Sunday. From the looks of it, everyone had a great time!
Mike writes:
We finally pulled it off! (Okay, maybe not spetacularly) The first ever Blender get-together in Vancouver, Canada was a lot of fun. The turn out was better than I had hoped, and majority of the people attending are very competent at Blender.

Link updated Mike, thanks!
By the way, could you put this in some kind of album or tag them so the link will keep working in the future? I'm kind of worried that if you add other pics now the link will become senseless ;-)
Cheers,
Bart
hey, Mike Pan..
thanks for the pictures.. looks like you had lots of fun (no surprise!)
could you post your experience on how this was organized, and what you might have done to make it better? i would like to possibly have a gathering here in Guelph, Ontraio..
what exactly did you do? how was the program organized? etc
thanks,
dyf

OMG what are all those iPhod Touch ? :D
Are they planning to make a Blender iPhod apps ! ! ! !
With multi touch ability ! !! ! ?!

Mike Pan, very nice pictures.
Could you tell me your camera specs?
This more a 'APPLE' ad than a workshop... just kiddin ...
Shouldn't those apple computers be replaced with Linux comptuers?
And the slideshow computer is running Vista.
:(
@Tynach Can we PLEASE get over this " anything that is not open source is evil mentality"! Your supposed to work with whatever you are more efficient with. If someone wants to pay lots of $ into Microsoft and Apple then let them go right ahead; they can do what they want with their money!
Sorry for the long post! BTW Blender rocks and we need a class in the Midwest sometime!
Neat pictures. Nice DOF on them as well. ;D Looks like a pretty nice group of people. Blender get together here, now, over here!!! :D God bless ... good job Mike Pan! Best wishes to all the Canadian blenderheads!

i guess the apples are on sale already. good to see blender still runs on such crappy computers :P
Thanks for the pics - Flickr's a bit weird though, the first photo in the gallery is the last photo in the stream!

I'll try to come up with a retrospect on the event at a later date. You can probably find that on my site.
BilliamBoy:
Where do you live? We have people coming all the way from Victoria BC, and even one who just got off a plane from Spain. :D
aws357 & Cracker and everyone else who commented on Apple:
Nope, not plans for for alternative platforms yet, we are just a bunch immature of Apple fanboys who love shiny new toys. The iphone photo got the most views in Flickr, what the hell is wrong with you guys?! Focus on the issue at hand here. This is about Blender :D
Aurthur:
All the images are taken with a 12MP Lumix FX100. I did some post processing in Lightroom and somehow lost the EXIF metadata.
Tynach:
Yeah my laptop (the one running the slide show) is on Vista, so bite me :D I am too stupid to get stand-by to work on Linux.
@mike pan,
great! i'll make sure i frequently visit your site..
