18

blender-iran.jpgHere's some link-love to the Blender community in Iran. They offer two versions: one in Arabic  Persian and one in English (which has different content). Good job, guys!

I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). I founded BlenderNation in 2006 and have been editing it every single day since then ;-) I also run the Blender Artists forum and I'm Head of Community at Sketchfab.

  1. these guys are making a verry good job.
i realy like the content but this is not Arabic it's persian we use the same carcters.

  2. Nice, it is a Persian site using Arabic alphabet ,,,

Arabic alphabet originally used by Arabic language, but after the spread of Islam, other languages used it such as Persian, Urdu, Pashto, Baloch, Malay, Panjabi, Kazakh (China). etc languages.

  3. Quote from the Persian who called himself "Mohammad" <--- Arabic name ?!
"i think Arabic is use persian charachter ?!" ,

Wow !! , i think you should read the history again !

By the way, do you know al-Qadisiyyah and Nahavand ?!!

    Go to sleeeeeeeeeep Persian !!!

  4. Hi,
it is nice to hear about persian web page about Blender.

People use Farsi language (not Arabic!) in Iran. Iran people don't like Arabic people too much; I think ... Do you remember on war between Iran and Iraq in 80s?

  5. open source doesn´t know any boarders.... its nice to see!
i think it might be the best to have in your mind that the goverment of the iran kepping a close eye on censoring websites, so holding the politics out of the comments and of course the board.........

  6. Nice to see. I like anything that boosts the international flavour of this program. I'm in Australia and neither website was blocked/filtered.

  7. @Hamed: yes, I routed the links through the Coral Cache because the servers were so slow. The site was *so* slow, I was afraid our mention here could kill it..

  8. ???????? ?? ?? ????? ?????? ???????? ? ?? ??? ????? ???? ?????

I hope every one knows about Iran and the truth, which is forced to be hidden beyond the politics of Medias.

I think that is possible in open source world.
