  1. Does Jonathan own the rights to Adriana's picture? I wonder how she feels about him making money off of her image? Some of the material on his site contains copyright material that doesn't belong to him. Now he is making money off of it. It would be interesting to know if he obtained permission to use those pictures. And given that his tutorials closely follow the tutorials of those he stole these images from I don't have a great deal of respect for him. As far as I'm concerned he's just a common thief.

Character - Modeling A Head by Dion Burgoyne

References and tutorial stolen by Jonathan Williamson

I wonder who else he has stolen from?

  2. @noen - Actually I believe he is free to use the images in his videos. Since they are purchased from 3d.sk. I'm sure Jonathan can clarify.

And the reference to the Luxology head modeling tutorial has very little similarity to the workflow in Jonathan's videos. Modo and Blender have very different workflows. Lets please keep things civil and not throw around accusations unless you have substantial proof and even then please take them up with Jonathan and not here on Blendernation. Thank you.

  3. @noen, I'm not making any money off of the Adrianna tutorial, you're mistaking her for Anetta Keys in my training DVDs; which I have full right to sale, feel free to check out the licensing from http://www.3d.sk. They're royalty free.

As for the Adrianna tutorial I did my best to contact the original author (and Luxology) back when I made the tutorial but was unable to get any response, nor could I find any direct copyright statements. No one has ever complained about it, and I've never made a dime off of it. If the original author, or Luxology were to contact me and ask me to take it down I would do so no questions asked.

I would suggest next time you do your research a bit more thoroughly before making blatant accusations in the case that you might offend some one. I'm not offended, I understand your feelings, but be careful, a good few people would be greatly offended by your statements.

  4. @noen: I'm assuming you're new here - we don't go around calling each other thieves in this community. Please think about what you're writing next time before you post.

  5. Good one Jonathan. What's the size of the download version? Also, any chance you might consider charging a tad bit less for the same? :)

  6. I'm pretty excited about this like most readers here. If I was able to buy it, I would do it.

@noen, It can be easy to post inappropriate and demeaning comments. I've done so myself. Just remember to be careful about what you post in the future.
