Last week I invited all of you to design a new BlenderNation header and we received quite a few excellent entries. Today I made my first selection: it's the banner by Gustav the Mushroom. I selected it because it fits very well in the site design and I like the clean, mathematical 3D look. Congratulations Gustav! Your image will be on the site until next week.
To see it, you may need to press SHIFT+reload in your browser; our well-trained webmonkeys will try to cache any content client-side (in your browser) for three days otherwise.
I'll keep scanning the original post for new material, so keep submitting! Also if your header image wasn't selected this week, I may still pick it next week.

Congratulations! This is insane! BlenderNation forever!
Regards
Hey, it might be cool if you set the header to randomly show a new picture on each page refresh. Many sites do this already so the code should be easy to find.
This way , you can keep a library of header pictures, and perhaps update it with all completely new pictures every month or so.
Just an idea.

@KevinW: I'm afraid that would make the site quite a bit slower for everyone, and especially for people on slow connections. Right now the header image is cached in your browser and that saves both on loading time and on our bandwidth bill ;-)
Ok.. now update this link : http://www.blendernation.com/support-us/
:-)
cool - I like it!
~epat. :)

Enjoy!
Thanks again!!
Congratulations ! Nice header.

@Carsten: hey! You copied our header! ;-) *hides*
You should set up a section on blendernation for header submissions instead of just referring back to the post.
Very nice 3d design! Please explain how to create... random height extrusion...
Theyre not random. I used the proportial edit on a grid. The pillars are just y scaled cubes.
Theres only one cube and then its parented to the grid (or is the grid parented to the cube? I cant remember...) and the grid has dubliverts on.
Thanks very much!... very nice! I'm a Blender " super-beginner " i must learn very much...
I would just make a grid and extrude the faces.
Yeah, thats the long way though. lol. Its quicker like this beleive it or not.
Well your the artist that made it so I'll trust you.
this is awsome how do they do it!
Hmmm... Maybe I should write a tut...
