Trickle Project

Trickle is focused on training and development: training of 3D artists to become confident with Blender and development to improve tools or add new ones for Blender as well as other software to manage the 3D animation pipeline. In few words, Spark DE is offering to share it’s experience on 3D animation and its technology to a small group (3 people) of young artists in order to realize a 3D short story using Blender. The purpose is to complete the story of about 30 second in 3 months.

The three young artists work for 2 days per week in Spark DE and each one has a specific role inside the team (modeler, rigger/animator, shader/lighter). They start sharing ideas to get the best plot. Once the story is ready they go on throughout each steps until the project reach its end.

The aim of Trickle Project is not merely the completion of the short. The knowledge growth that young artists freely obtain working side-by-side with animation professionals is the main goal. Those young guys start Trickle Project with a personal knowledge of other 3D animation packages, at the end of this experience they become more confident with Blender and the way production goes (at least in Spark DE company).

If you want to know more about this project visit Spark DE blog. You can see the first result of Trickle Project, a short called “Hit & Eat”, and a 15 second animatic that introduce the latest project.”
