Looking for new new sculpting options? Give Dilay a test. It's open source and has builds available for Windows and Linux.
Anyone interested in comparing Dilay with Blender's sculpting capabilities and writing a quick report for BlenderNation? Let me know!
Dilay is a 3D sculpting application that provides an intuitive workflow using a number of powerful modeling tools. As each tool locally subdivides the mesh where more details are required, Dilay allows artists to rapidly create complex meshes.

Looks promising. You may interested in this related project I found couple years ago:

SculptGL is pretty cool yes. Stéphane is a colleague of mine at Sketchfab now where he works on our 3D viewer :)
We need a 3D Open Source software focused on Sculpt, to replace Zbrush
Somewhat to what happens with "Natron" considered "The Open Source Nuke"
Blender it's quite advanced compared to Dilay, but I wonder why every sculpting app has the circle widget sticking to the surface normal and Blender does not, I find it to be a quite important visual cue. Retopoflow addon's widget does it already, but as far as I know I haven't seen implemented in sculpting mode. Hope someone proves me wrong!
I agree with ELI SPZZICHINO, that should be default on every texture painting and sculpting program.
looks interesting, I like how some of these tools respond, and the topology seems cleaner in general than blender.worth a try, also the shading seems nice and clean.
This program reminds me of Sculptris. I hope it does well. Let's see what more they can add.
Also, if anyone is interested, here's another program that was recently released. Enjoy.

That looks quite interesting. I see that he's still planning OSX and Linux builds, so I guess I'll have to wait a while longer :)
Wow, I just discovered PolyBrush about a week ago, and this is the third place this week already that I've run into seeing someone mention it.
Word's sure getting around! lol
