Great stuff, this sequencer is getting closer and closer to a real video editor ! Thanks Mister Beck !
But this sequencer REALLY needs some cleanup ! Can anybody tell me why we need to seperate modifiers and effect strip ? Basically it's just FXs spread in two different spots ! After Effects is a good exemple to do the same stuff with only modifiers and optional effect strip.
Also, editing masks an tracking in a seperate window, WHY ? (same problem in the compositor) : There should be only ONE video/image ouput window (like the 3D view) where all the 2D tools should work (tracking, UV, painting, masks, text overlay, all the stuff in the property (n) panel... all grouped in a "property window" with tabs, like in the 3D property). Don't tell me it's crazy, it's how it works everywhere else ! (Natron, Nuke, After Effects...)
I really hope 2.8 will takle all those interface issues...
Blender is broken on so many levels you just only scratched the surface.
First the video editor and video encoder of Blender needs to be multi threaded with filters working on GPU and only after then I will start just thinking about using it.
@Denis: +1 / even this is not a right place to move things forward I agree with you :)
