JARCH Vis will help you create many architectural elements.
I have been coding in Blender for over a year now and a couple months ago I released JARCH Vis. An add-on meant to speed up certain aspects of architectural visualization like creating siding, flooring, stairs, and roofing. With this add-on you can do stuff that used to take 20 minutes in just a couple clicks, and the siding is always edit-able. Meaning you can go back an try different settings if you want to. The add-on is currently on version 0.6 and is pretty stable at this point and can be found on BlenderArtists here.
It can also be found on my website which has pictures, the download link, and a link to the manual which I recommend reading if you encounter any issues.

awesome. looks like this would have saved me a load of time a few months ago.
This is awesome, especially tools for siding, flooring and stairs! Though roof generating addon needs more work. First thing that comes to mind it should set initial Pitch / Rotation values based on the group's facenormal average, would work for most if not all of the cases just right.
Also it would be cool if you could add custom mesh to be used for stair steps, would create a ton more customization instantly
