Hi all,
Here are the notes from today's meeting in irc.freenode.net #blendercoders.
1) Upcoming 2.76 release
- Projects planning.
- Meeting agrees on moving to BCon4 status - which means bugfix only, no new features. Testbuilds will be made available this and next week. Everyone is invited to visit the bug tracker again!
- OpenVDB branch was close to ready, but still in development.
Also due to holidays it's wiser to move that to another release.- Splash for the release: competition proposal will be sent to the maillist tomorrow.
2) Other projects
- Asset management: Bastien Montagne is cooking up 'live ID replacing' and a method restore lost data.
- Blender 2.8 "Workflow" project: Ton Roosendaal will propose a roadmap planning this week. This Blender Conference will be an interesting one!
- Siggraph results report will be published this week.
Thanks,
-Ton-

"Ton Roosendaal will propose a roadmap" wooohoo I hope for something focused on manage big scene.
I agree, if they focused in viewport performance will be great!, even if they do not add anything more than that it would be enough for me.
Really glad to see T45351 - we get burnt by so many linking issues at 3Dami that any improvement there is seriously welcome:-)
Please add support for animated actions on the boid particles, to make better battle scenes!! :3

Whatever the competition is, I hope something tasteful and appealing wins. Something that makes Blender feel more like a professional product, or at least something inviting.
I don't usually complain about splash screens, but that current deformed caterpillar splash for 2.75a is just mortifying to look at! lol
Are those connections going right to left instead of left to right?
I thought all the Node connections went left to right. Will this change as the plugin matures?
