Eric Svärd spotted a bit of Blender in a conference video from Google IO 2014.
I saw in one of the Google IO 2014 videos that Google used Blender for prototyping the real time soft shadows for the new Android L material design.
Blender gets mentioned in this video here:

They have helped develop it indirectly by the Google Summer of Code
"This looks fairly similar to what you get in Blender or any expensive 3D rendering package."
ehehe!! ;)
Love seeing Blender in professional events/developments. I hope it gets to the point were it can become a leader in technology and innovation, and become a viable tool for major industries. Good on you Google!
Such a shame to see to Google people showing off the battery-draining bloat they're adding to Android. My Nexus 7 was smooth and slick when I bought it; 2 or 3 major Android versions later it now takes an age to boot from cold.
Going off topic here but Android L is supposed to improve battery life by 30%. The new ART runtime will also increase general CPU performance by roughly 100% while decreasing memory usage at the same time.

I spotted Suzanne in the Google Android L Developer Preview video too for the new WebView update to Chrome M36, including support for "undulating monkeys" as shown above. Video link jumps to the spot in the video where you can see Suzanne.
