That's a really resourceful way to create those rays! If you could get two or three screenshots of your arrangement, I'd like to see to get a better handle on it.
But it looks great (although I'm not personally too big a fan of the Lego character phenomenon.)

Just the fact that you could visualize that abstract visual in the first place is an achievement, and then that cool technique you used just makes it cooler. (Although I suppose the Bat Signal could glow rather than be be dark, but that's okay.)
I learned character modeling (and Freestyle) primarily through trying to build the old Bruce Timm-style characters (because their sharp, angular design made them much easier than more sophisticated models), so it's cool to see different Batman models.

great lighting. is the bat symbol part of the environment map background or is it a mesh/textured plane?
Thanks.. i used mesh with hair particle system...to create bat sign with that ripped off effect..!!
