Desert Run

2

By stefanericsson.

Desert Run is one of those projects that started out as a small and simple idea just to try and simulate motion in a still image format. But one thing led to another and I ended up with an entire scene. Although it was fun working on at the same time as small story elements grew around it.

Hi there, my name is Stefan. I have been learning blender on my free time for a few years now, simply because I'm fascinated with the idea of creativity in a digital format. I'm still trying to find my way in the 3D world, so my projects are usually quite varied in style.

  1. Duuuuuude!...Love the Pic....Really is a fun setup to look at. Though i am intrigued by your Datsun 620 that you have on Artstation. Your material an light setups are things i admire, for us mere mortals it is something that either pushes us on and inspires us, or it breaks ones confidence as it feels unreachable. I really thought it was a photo at first! I would love to learn your workflow and technique behind that Artwork.
    Again Bravo on your work.

    • Wow! Thank you. I'm glad you liked it... To save time I usually try to push what procedural textures can do, and then supplement with handmade textures if necessary. The light setups is what I struggle with the most; I find it difficult to get it right. But I try to keep it simple and make sure that every light source adds something to the scene and does what it is supposed to do. Sorry if that sounds a bit cryptic :), I'm still learning a lot when it comes to light.
      Thank you again!
