very cool, I'm guessing that's rendered in BI? It would be nice to see an overview or a blend file.
thanks for the feed back ! So basically being a lazy guy I wanted to make this as few textures as possible so I ended up using only 1 texture for the wood which I used to make the "glow map" and the rest of the mapping/texture mixing was made with blenders own texture options. Hope the picture helps a bit, I really havent done any tutorials so that all I´m offering :D. It was rendered in Cycles. I added some cycles flames in it later but still have some work to do !

Really really good, personally i would have made it less red and more orange to give it a warmer tone,but i still think this looks early good!!!!!
