This image was created for a fun weekly contest. The theme this week was 'boardgames'. I decided to turn a computer game I play called "War in the East 2" into the kind of traditional hex-based, counter and board game that it is a distant descendant of. I worked out though that if it were a traditional boardgame the board or boards would have to take up 6 metres by 5.5 metres and you'd need around 5000 counters just for one side.

This looks dope. Nice work.
I would add some mountains on the flat board, maybe some trees and a nice fluid sim or ocean modifier for some real water. I did something like that some years ago with a picture of a map from LotR that I found on the internet to test some shadow catcher stuff. Just wanted to quickly try some stuff out, turned out I stayed for weeks because it was such a damn charming project. Fun times. ^^
Again, nice work. I checked your Artstation account and I really like your style. The nostalgia C64 render is insane. :D
