Blender 2021 Roadmap

With the Blender 2.93 release being around the corner, and the Blender 3.0 alpha rearing its game-changing head, 2021 promises to be another groundbreaking year for Blender. Dalai Felinto outlines what this year holds for Blender in a blog post on the Blender Developers Blog.

In his blog post, Dalai gives a list of projects that are planned in Blender's development schedule for 2021, many of which are already underway:

    • Eevee - info is in the post - vulken means better Eevee can be created.

      "The drawing backend is being prepared to receive Vulkan. This abstraction of the drawing API will allow Blender to use more modern libraries for drawing. Which also helps make EEVEE memory more efficient"
