Yesss this was my main concern with cutting blender internal. NPR was easy because a material node’s output is color data you can throw a color ramp on. Cycles didn’t offer anything like that.

Is there a branch available with this implementation? I’ve tried the latest, which had Shader to RGB but neither of the other two nodes described here. I can’t get the test .blend to open correctly either. https://developer.blender.org/D3205

The slice shader and the smooth difuse nodes were rejected. They will be replaced with an addon not written yet. Only the Shader to RGB survided to EEVEE.
