Tutorial: Snap Seamlessly Objects Together

Max Puliero shares some hard surface modeling magic in this tutorial.

Hi guys,

Here is a short video tutorial on snapping hard surface geometries seamlessly using a simple non destructive setup.

Hope you like it.

  1. That is brilliant. "I think most people know this." Uh, no, I'm not sure they do. =) Thank you for sharing this, just a fantastic concept. I wonder if this could all be automated with a single new modifier, called something like the "Sticky" or "Stick to Surface" modifier, just to make this a more commonly performed task. I can't tell you how many times I've wanted to simple stick one object onto another.

And... Suzanne in the Matrix! =)

    • I haven't had any issues at all.

Does anyone know if it's possible to do this with two or more objects with different materials and have the materials "bleed" to the other objects to have it be even more seamless.
