We will go over creating a texture to use as a displacement in the compositor and we will also go over animating the texture so that you can create an animation of your scene. You could also use the z pass to create the mask for animations. Maybe that helps avoiding that the effect distorts the borders of the image.

Yes that is a great idea to use the z pass! This will only work though if you are rendering out a scene in Blender. If you just have a still image you would not be able to do so. Thanks again!
