I want to show you my Character Animation reel of 2015. It's made from works of the 3D Character Animation Course at Animum, a 15-months online program (only in Spanish). It was very tough but I think I ended it pretty well. I hope you like it.
Despite the course was based on Maya, I managed to export the animation on MDD format and making the shading, lighting, rendering, composition and even editing in Blender. Thanks to Cycles and GPU computing I was able to have a high quality render (raytracer rendering, "real" DoF and "real" Motion Blur) in 1080p in just two days or so. And thanks to the Community, I found free models and materials.

Awesome job Antonio!
Those characters look very beautifull in cycles, congratulations!

Thanks mate ;)
Love it!
Thanks!
Great work! Great characters, gestures, plausible movement, and attention to nuances.
Any plans in the future to do a Blender animated reel?
Thanks! The course was oriented to feature film so attention to detail is a must.
I work with Blender at my studio, so Blender shots will be added to my reel (if they're as good as these shots) but I have no plans about any Blender reel. Animation is in the animator, not the software. BTW I made an acting shot in Blender with Cookie Flexrig and I found Blender better for animation than Maya or 3ds max ;)
Very good acting ! And funny too :-)
Thanks, it was tough. Do you know that you must film yourself acting? That knee hurt D:
Let somebody else do the live acting next time. That's less painful! :-)
Wow, really nice!
Thank you :)
