An Open Letter of Support for Project Gooseberry by Ben Dansie

We have two more days to reach the threshold of 3,000 Gooseberry supporters. Ben Dansie, member of the Sintel team, has published an open letter of support, outlining the importance of these projects to individuals and the entire community. If you haven’t done so already, now’s the time to pledge!

I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). I founded BlenderNation in 2006 and have been editing it every single day since then ;-) I also run the Blender Artists forum and I'm Community Lead at n8n.

Hey people!

I convinced my love already to support Gooseberry so that’s one more. My dog’s credit card bounced though. Next I’ll modify my cloud subscription from monthly payments to a single sponsor payment.

Please give any amount. Of course all counts. Use the custom donation option at the bottom to tailor your donation to your means. Go flip a burger, sell some limonade, mow a lawn or blow dry the last snow but remember how lucky your are for Blender, its community including Swell folks like Bart here, Mr. Dansie or Ton.
